Smooth Cream Cheese Frosting

This delicious cream cheese frosting is something I’ve been working on for years and I think I finally got it right a two years ago, and I haven’t changed it since.

Take two 8 ounce cream cheese packages and let them sit on the counter to become soft. Once the cream cheese is soft, beat the cream cheese until it is smooth. When the cream cheese is smooth add 1/2 a cup of soft unsalted butter into the cream cheese and mix until well combined.

Next add 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract into the mixture.

Once everything is mixed add in 24 ounces of powdered sugar. Add about 1/2 a cup at a time making sure it is well mixed.

Once the ingredients are mixed place in the fridge to chill before working with it. I hope you enjoy my delicious cream cheese frosting.

Ingredients:
2-8 ounce cream cheese packages
1/2 cup soft unsalted butter
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
24 ounces of confectioners sugar

Place two packages of 8 ounce cream cheese into the mixer and beat until smooth. Next add 1/2 cup of soft unsalted butter and beat into the cream cheese. Add 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract and mix in. Then add 1/2 cup at a time the confectioners sugar until it is all mixed in. Allow the cream cheese frosting to chill in the fridge before you use it.
